CENTRE COMPETITION DAYS

Our Centre competition days are held on Saturday afternoons at the Ashmore Oval, Dominions Road, Ashmore (adjacent to the Police & Citizens Youth Club). The start time is 1.00pm and we normally finish at approximately 4.30pm. The calendar on the back page of this handbook details the Centre competition days planned for this season.

PARENTS PARTICIPATION

Over the years we have experienced several problems with parents not receiving information that directly affects their child. Parents who cannot stay, please do not drop your children off in the carpark and leave. Please stay to listen to the weekly announcements and read the notice board.

To enable the smooth running of the Ashmore Little Athletics Centre on a week to week basis we require the assistance of parents and/or other family members.

The duties you will be asked to perform consist of timekeeping, measuring heights and distances, recording results and acting as Age Marshalls.

To help with the understanding of these duties, we will be running training sessions for the parents in conjunction with the coaching on the first two Sundays.

Parent Incentive Programme

At the time of registration you have paid a $35 Family Levy. This is payable once only per family and is fully refundable at the end of the season, subject to the family earning the required amount of reward points. To be eligible to receive a refund your family needs to accumulate 13 points over the season.

These points can be earned as follows:

2 points - Officials Accreditation (refer Committee)
1 point - Ashmore Centre Normal Competition
2 points - Ashmore Carnival
1 point - Zone (Relay and Intercentre) competition days
